When one restaurant's doors close another restaurant's doors open in fast-paced New York City, and every Friday, we'll fill you in on what opened up around town this week. This week: Vegan Ethiopian hits Bushwick, an old steakhouse gets new life, and a new bar comes to the East Village.

Bunna Cafe, 1084 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, 347-295-2227

Former Smorgasburg pop-up Bunna Cafe now calls Bushwick home in the space that formerly housed Mama Joy's. The vegan Ethiopian restaurant had been hosting a pop-up weekday lunch at the location, and when Mama Joy's closed, owner Sam Saverance decided to make the space his own. The best deal is the $8 lunch special, which will get you four dishes of your choosing.

Camp David, 221 Avenue B, 212-228-0170

Cozy up with a cocktail made from fresh squeezed juice at this new homey bar in the East Village. Owner David Lopez serves up tapas from his native Venezuela. And no, the bar has no affiliation with the President's country retreat.

The Classon Social Club, 807 Classon Ave, Brooklyn, 718-484-4475

Albano Ballerini, the chef behind Brooklyn's Amorina Pizza, and musician Francesco Pini come together to bring us The Classon Social Club, a soul food restaurant and live music venue. Enjoy comfort food classics like pot pie and potato salad while listening to live jazz and blues music.

El Rey Coffee Bar & Luncheonette, 100 Stanton Street, 212-260-3950
While this coffee bar opened in September, it just started serving food at the end of last week. Pop in for cashew grits with 18-hour braised pork and a slow egg or a kale salad with shaved almonds.

Gallaghers, 228 West 52nd Street, 212-245-5336

After seven months of renovations, Gallaghers (formerly known as Gallagher's Steakhouse) has reopened. Last January, the steakhouse was set to close when Central Park Boathouse owner Dean Poll swept in to give the restaurant a second chance. The horseshoe bar has been revamped, a few new dishes have been added to the menu, and the entire 220-seat dining area has been completely redone.

Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar, 540 Park Ave, 212-339-4051

Located in the Loews Regency Hotel, this is the first take-out location of Sant Ambroeus. Grab a foamy cappuccino for your 3 p.m. pick-me-up, or stop in at lunchtime for a selection warm panini. Cocktails and wines will be served in the evening.
