Looking to extend the weekend festivities? Check out a rare beer tap takeover and a dinner party at the Guggenheim in this week's event line-up.

Kegs & Cluckers, Brooklyn Brewery, 79 North 11th Street, Brooklyn, Monday, 7:30 p.m.

Love chicken? What about beer? If you're a fan of either, head to this event, where you'll also learn about the urban chicken movement. Activities include a raffle, a deviled egg competition, and egg Olympic-style games. Proceeds from the event will go to provide coops, pens, and training for schools and community gardens. Tickets are $25 and include unlimited Brooklyn Brewery drafts and bites.

Great South Bay Brewery Tap Takeover, Clinton Hall, 90 Washington Street, Tuesday, 6 p.m.

Beer lovers will have the chance to sample up to 15 varieties of suds at this event while chatting with Long Island's Great South Bay Brewery founder Rick Sobotka. A few of the rare offerings include blood orange pale ale, snozzberry stout, and the final keg of lethal cupcake imperial chocolate porter. Many of the beers on tap have never been released in New York City or are not sold, so it might be wise to check these out.

Anti-Pasta: A Dinner Inspired by Italian Futurism, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, 1071 Fifth Avenue, Tuesday, 8 p.m.

Italian futurism's heyday may have been in the early 20th century, and this week, New York will be going back to the future (see what we did there?) with a dinner inspired by the avant-garde movement's culinary ideals. Author and restaurateur Mimmetta Lo Monte took guidance from Filippo Tommaso Marinetti's 1932 Futurist Cookbook; she'll host the meal, which will include harmony between table setting and food, food sculptures, and the use of scents, poetry, music, and scientific instruments during preparation. The event includes wine pairingsand a 7 p.m. concert performance by pianist Daniele Lombardi. Attendees will also have access to a private view of the museum's exhibits beginning at 6:15 p.m.; tickets can be purchased through the museum's website.

Beard on Books, James Beard House, 167 West 12th Street, Wednesday, noon

For a suggested donation of $20, guests can listen to author Susan Meisel detail the best of the Big Apple's bakeshops with a discussion of her new book, New York Sweets. The book covers desserts by neighborhood, and it might inspire you to do a post-discussion sugar crawl with new friends. Refreshments -- including tea, coffee, and chocolate -- will also be on hand.

Whole Foods & Clean Eating, Bowery Culinary Center -- Whole Foods, 95 East Houston Street, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.

If summertime beach bodies are causing you to rethink your diet, consider a class hosted by wellness consultant Amie Valpone. The cooking session will focus on vegan dishes -- made without the use of eggs, dairy, soy, or gluten -- with a menu composed of arugula salad, salsa, cranberry-flax bars, and a chocolate mousse. Tickets are $35.

All these events sound really fun, but I really think the Anti Pasta dinner sounds like a ton of fun.
