This song is fantastic. Neil's biting satire, tounge-in-cheek references to popular culture, and examination of the thought processes of the American 'everyman' are beautiful. Such a funny, relevant and poignant little song, with witty metaphor layered beneath a simplistic, rambling reflection on current events from the perspective of his truck driving character feels so wonderfully authentic. And the way he suggests the truck as a metaphor for America... I couldn't ask for more. Neil is one of the greatest, most important and inspiring musicians of this generation, the previous generation, and the one before that too! Great job, Neil. Keep 'em comin'.
