​If it ever gets cold enough to don skates, the Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center will be filled with the gliding couples and little ones it sees every year. But there will be something new rinkside: a temporary heated pop-up called Igloo Bar will open from December 5 through January 7, serving up a small menu of warming bites by Rock Center Cafe chef Antonio Prontelli.

Designed to look like an "Eskimo's retreat," the bar will act as an apres-skate, where guests can keep their blades on as they sip steaming cups of Cruzan Vanilla Rum-spiked hot chocolate and Jameson-spiked hot coffee. The menu will include Bering Sea Crispy Calamari with Roasted Garlic and Chili Aioli, Eskimo-Braised Berkshire Pork Cheeks with Celery Root and Parsnip Puree, and something called Pizza Fondue.
