The Feed is reporting that Ryan Skeen was fired yesterday afternoon from Allen & Delancey. Adding insult to injury, his boss, Dick Friedberg, dismissed him by e-mail.

Skeen took over the kitchen at Allen & Delancey this past summer after jumping ship from Irving Mill. Despite the praise his cooking received, his Twitter updates during the last couple of weeks hinted at growing disillusionment with his employer. No word yet on where Skeen will go next (if his Twittering is anything to go by, perhaps journalism school), but it's all but certain that a talented chef has more promising options than a restaurant that's been trying to find its footing ever since Neil Ferguson departed for Soho House.
