Thai-inspired burgers, coming soon
Andy Yang's Thai mini-chain, Rhong Tiam, is launching three new food trucks this spring. Each truck will have its own theme and the "Supreme Burger Truck," as the first one has unfortunately been called, will launch tomorrow with a focus on Asian-inspired hamburgers.

Lower Manhattan might be home to a large population of office workers, but lunch options still remain somewhat scarce. But all that's about to change: As DNAinfo reports, a rotating group of five trucks per day will soon be rolling outside the World Financial Center digs in attempt to bring a greater variety of food to the neighborhood.

New York's Vendy Awards is adding a new category this year: New Jersey food trucks. Three competitors from the Garden State have been entered, including Taco Truck and the vegan Cinnamon Snail, from Hoboken; and Jersey City's Two Pitas in a Pod.

It's been yet another ... interesting week for food trucks.
Just because the streets of Midtown are no longer safe for mobile entrepreneurs doesn't mean they won't keep trying. According to Midtown Lunch, a new truck called Wall St. Burgers was spotted on the corner of Park Avenue and 55th Street last Friday. There's no word yet about the merits of the burgers, but the story behind them sounds awfully familiar.
