All Points West: Radiohead and Some Other Lesser Bands

• How was their set? That's how I would judge it. I mean, you used all caps like you read a sign identifying it as the Rayjohed COMPOUND. But that isn't true. You just heard someone else in a position of authoritah refer to it that way. And then you passed that along for public consumption as though anyone's opinion on such a trivial matter could possibly mean a damned thing. And it would seem from the first comment that you got the reaction you were looking for, no? So how was their set? Everytime I've seen Radiohead, they've played as though they deserved a compound, while behaving as though they were in the living room of a kindly neighbor. That is to say they rocked out like perfect gentlemen. In addition to being notoriously politically and socially conscious and engaged, they're also known to be among the most well-behaved men in the business today. And they do it while creating incredible, inspiring music. So how was their set?

• I don't see the harm in this. Radiohead has been a touring band for about twenty years. They deserve a little comfort. I am sure in that time they have been in many less than desirable situations. There is also a great deal of work that goes into recreating their music live. Alot of equipment is used and many people are employed to help display this bands artistic vision. In the end you will get a well thought out quality show. I have seen both Radiohead and Grizzly Bear. One of these shows was the best concert I had ever been to, while the other kept me entertained for about 30 minutes until the repitition of their sound drove me to leave early.
