New Junot Diaz Story: "Flaka"
Is story-blogging the new MP3 blogging? Yesterday, the Boston Phoenix posted a recording of a Junot Diaz reading and Q&A at Cambridge's Brattle Theater, thus catapulting Diaz into the ranks of the "new Papoose!!!" school of releasing every damn thing immediately, without mediation, onto the web.
"I'm going to read something bad," says Diaz at the outset, getting into the Internet's improvisational spirit. "It's always good to read something you ain't done with, I think. Fuck it." Bradford Cox, take comfort.
