The immortal Sam McPheeters, of Born Against, Mens Recovery Project, etc—and lately of the O.C. Weekly—reviews last year's Germs biopic, What We Do Is Secret at his blog, Loom of Ruin:

In trying to recast Crash as a rock prophet in the Jim Morrison mold, the filmmakers ignored the obvious; The Germs weren't that interesting a band. Without the allure of suicide, their memory would today flicker dimly alongside China White and The Urinals.
