Give to the New Museum's Rhizome, Get A YACHT Ringtone
In what is surely a prescient charity campaign, the New Museum-affiliated media art posse Rhizome is offering custom ringtones in exchange for donations to their Community Campaign. Never mind the fact rappers conduct this type of charity drive--creating ringtones in exchange for money--every day; this donation will turn you into a "Sprout!" Right now the site is offering YACHT's "NTSC," Taigaa's "Shark and Tiger," something abstract from Ben Fino-Radin, and artist Ben Coonley's interview with an "imaginary pony," who I guess one-ups the now-traditional cast of iPhone animal noises by saying "I like it when you brush me."
