New Blake Schwarzenbach/Thorns of Life Songs Premiered

"The Tundra" was a benefit held last Saturday night for 826NYC, billed to include not just music from Tim Adams and Golden Bones but readings from people as varied as Pepi Ginsberg and Blake Schwarzenbach, formerly of Jawbreaker, Jets to Brazil and, most recently (and not formerly yet, I don't think), Thorns of Life. As it turned out, Blake's reading included at least two songs--the first, called "My First Time," "about losing my virginity in Venice, California, in 11th grade, to a 9th grade girl that was away ahead of me," I recognize as a Thorns of Life song, because I saw them play it, too.
