On Busta Rhymes, Young Jeezy, and Jadakiss's "Conglomerate"

So the dream is that one day one of these New York rappers is going to completely give up on their commercial prospects and just release a record of guys going in on over minimal, ominous, head-knock insanity. Never in a million years would I think the guy to do it would be Busta Rhymes--and I still don't. But man, this "Conglomerate" track.

Jadakiss is having a great day, incidentally (although I don't really know what "I Stay 10 Toes Down" means--"I Stay Alive, and Not Dead"? "I Am At The Beach All The Time"?). "Conglomerate," which is supposedly destined for Busta's B.O.M.B., brings together a couple of winning streaks--Jada and Jeezy's--and one guy, in Busta Rhymes, who's fire when he feels like it, e.g. here. Fresh off reffing that swimming race, Jeezy sounds like maybe he needs to take better care of himself (if his voice gets anymore hoarse, his ad-libs are gonna start sounding like a 12-year-old choir boy's). Jadakiss, as usual, is just absurd: "Money, change you/Devils, angels/We the ones who say what you can and what you can't do."
