On Notorious B.I.G.'s "One More Chance (Legacy RMX)" feat. CJ Wallace

Reports from early screenings of the Notorious B.I.G biopic Notorious are promising: wildly uneven character acting, an uncannily Biggie-reminiscent Gravy in the title role, and a plot arc that sticks faithfully and unsensationally to Christopher Wallace's short but eventful life. Over the past couple weeks, new tracks from the soundtrack have trickled out: "Brooklyn Go Hard," a/k/a Jay-Z's latest Jamaican vacation; Jadakiss's "Letter to B.I.G."; a handful of Biggie demos; and now, a "remix" of "One More Chance" by one Christopher "CJ" Wallace, Jr., Biggie's 12-year-old son by Faith Evans.

The remix consists of CJ trading lines with his dead father: sometimes rapping along, sometimes fading Big's vocal entirely, jumping in on the chorus, and most awesomely, reprising his dad's signature uh uh ad-libs. CJ wasn't yet one-year-old when his father was shot; this is, in a way, probably the longest conversation they've ever had. [MP3, photo via Nah Right]
