News Roundup: Bruce Springsteen, Dead Weather, Michael Jackson, Another Diesel Party

--The Dead Weather, who we saw at the Bowery last April, long ago sold out their gigs at Terminal 5 this Thursday and Friday, but the band will play a free show tomorrow at noon at the Third Man Records pop-up store store at 131 Chrystie Street. The one-off is first come, first serve. We recommend being first.

--Bruce Springsteen has extended his never-ending "Working on a Dream Tour" into November. The Boss kicks off his fall run August 19 in Hartford, Connecticut. The Boss will play five dates at Giants Stadium beginning in late September, and then Madison Square Garden, November 7 and 8. We doubt this is the last time you'll get to see the heart stoppin', pants droppin', house rockin', earth shockin', Viagara takin' E Street Band. But it's worth going anyway.

--LAPD officials are treating the investigation into Michael Jackson's death as a homicide, according to TMZ. Jackson's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, is reportedly the focus of the investigation after the drug Propofol was apparently found in Jackson's home along with an intravenous stand and an oxygen tank. Meanwhile, macabre footage of Jackson's hair catching fire during a 1984 Pepsi commercial shoot has finally been released if you're into that Faces of Death sort of thing.

--Gotta hand it to Diesel: last year's 30th anniversary party was epic. Pregnant M.I.A., a T.I. and Franz Ferdinand onstage collaboration, ladies flying from the ceiling. A decidedly less epic one will take place on July 30 at Webster Hall with Passion Pit, Cobra Starship, Drake, Theophilus London, and The Roots with a "special guest collaboration." Hmmm. But here's the kicker: to get a ticket--i.e. "an invitation"--you have to show up to one of three participating Diesel stores wearing their ridiculously pricey jeans. Here's where and when the passes will be handed out, if you're so inclined:

--July 25th and 26th at Lexington at 60th Street at 5pm
--July 27th and 28th 5th Avenue and 54th Street at 5pm
--July 29th and 30th Union Square at 14th Street at 5pm
