Bikes in the Kitchen This Weekend, After the Jump Next Weekend
Bonkers show promoters/Shank-annihilators Bikes in the Kitchen are back after what seems to have been a solid six-month hiatus. Their 'Goodbye Summer' all-day show tomorrow is set to feature the Death Set, Team Robespierre, Ninjasonik, Best Fwends, Cerebral Ballzy, and a host of other usually BK DIY suspects. 979 Broadway Backyard, twelve bucks, ten hours, starting at noon. This show has an excellent chance of resulting in sweaty, cop-infested pandemonium. See you at the barricades!
Meanwhile, After the Jump Fest has announced another round of additions for their fest next weekend. Helado Negro (doing a DJ set), The Octagon, Shark?, Captain Ahab and the Sea Crackens, and Thing One are the latest to jump on the bill. The fest is also passing around a quite listenable mixtape by way of previewing the show:
