Last Night's B-52s Show at Governors Island Did Not End Particularly Well
Start at about 4:15 here to see the B-52's attempt, unsuccessfully, to make it all the way through "Roam" at an ill-fated Governors Island show last night, which began in the wake of probably the hottest day of the summer and ended with a fusillade of hella cinematic lightning that sent the band fleeing in terror, never to return. (Skip to about seven minutes in to see the cinematic conclusion, wherein joyful B-52s fans get super, super angry.) No "Rock Lobster," no "Love Shack," bah. The pic of the set list here is pretty heartbreaking.
