Stream the Big Pink's A Brief History of Love
The Dennis Cooper-loving, the Band-referencing, NME-approved London duo The Big Pink are presently streaming the entirety of their forthcoming 4AD debut, A Brief History of Love, over at their website. Bandmembers Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell are semi-reformed digital hardcore refugees with affinities for both gauzy, synthy electro-pop and boss, unfuckwithable drums that can seem looped right off a Led Zeppelin record. Huge stretches of A Brief History turn out to be gazey and emo as hell ("Golden Pendulum," woah); elsewhere, "Dominos" is pretty much the most massive track we've heard in months. The album drops September 14, with a New York coronation TBA.
