New Glass Ghost Video: "Like A Diamond"
Brooklyn art-wobble duo Glass Ghost--whose "The Same" we featured last month--have premiered a new video for choice Idol Omen track "Like A Diamond." Where falsetto bandleader Eliot Krimsky checked J. Dilla and Fear of a Black Planet by way of explaining the muted funk of "The Same" back in August, "Like A Diamond" is a more straightforward kind of a downer--lots more empty space, plangent keyboards, etc. The washed-out, green-screened video matches up nicely: it's like "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" or Cassavetes, except even less happens.
