Tonight! Phoenix/Passion Pit, DJ Spooky, Phish, And Jaguar Love
SOTC-beloved French pop doggs Phoenix and hyperactive aggro-twee synth-bashers Passion Pit love each other so much they can't stop playing shows together -- fresh off a stint at Central Park a couple months back, they reunite this evening at Hammerstein Ballroom for 101.9 RXP DJ Matt Pinfield's Holiday Extravaganza, whereupon Matt will soothe that gravelly voice with a little eggnog and you get to hear "Love Like a Sunset."
Elsewhere, DJ Spooky debuts his Antarctica symphony at BAM (more on that here), Phish start a three-night stint at Madison Square Garden, the Mountain Goats and Final Fantasy migrate to the Bell House, and ex-Blood Brothers crew Jaguar Love is at Mercury Lounge.
