Despite claims that any old fool can slip into his own psyche-soothing "Sisterworld," Liars have sold out the Bowery Ballroom. No "Sisterworld" for you, and just when we thought they were becoming increasingly believable, too. Fortunately, the ubiquitous Das Racist are bringing their taco-pushing, Beastie Boys-defaming rap exploits to Glasslands for a Haiti benefit show. At Brooklyn Bowl, coy lo-fi poppers Darlings will squeak out their weekend anthems (the line "And we'll get fucked up in the dark" from "Friends Forever" makes for a great sing-a-long) alongside damaged guitar brethren Sisters. And now for the weird events: John Wesley Harding's Cabinet of Wonders, a/k/a "gangsta folk" singer John Wesley Harding, Sondre Lerche, a random comedian dude, and an editor from the New Yorker (among others) will perform a wonky variety show at Le Poisson Rouge. Then there's Beards & Flannel night at Greenpoint's Coco66: While partaking in assorted DJ sets, you are responsible for figuring out how this event differs from any other night in Brooklyn.
