Tonight! Joshua Light Show w/ itsnotyouitsme, Venom P. Stinger, Fresh Kills, Massive Attack, Everybody Was In The French Resistance...Now!, And Escort

Returning tonight to the Abrons Arts Center is the Joshua Light Show, a/k/a the guy who, during the '60s and '70s, popularized gloopy, Technicolor, acid-brewed concert projections and, oh yeah, worked with Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, the Who, and other sweet dudes. Yes in My Backyard-pick itsnotyouitsme, a "transcendent-yet-tangible indie-ambient" violin/guitar duo, is the light show's accompanying act. Over at Shea Stadium, pissed-off Aussie hardcore legends Venom P. Stinger reunite alongside melodic, comparably tranquilized post-hardcore buddies Fresh Kills. Meanwhile, trip-hop forefathers Massive Attack headline Terminal 5, and Art Brut's Eddie Argos' side-project Everybody Was in the French Resistance...Now! unveil their campy, speak-singing ballads at the Mercury Lounge. Finally, to further enrich your life, Escort's 17-person disco mob/orchestra is coining Wednesday Night Fever at Le Poisson Rouge, replete with cowbells, furrowed-brow Dance Faces, and finicky guitar jangles.
