Week in Review: We Are a Viking Raiding Party of Good Will and Intention
In the week that everybody finally went outside for the summer, we hung out on a few rooftops ourselves. Twin Sister? Rooftop. The SFNY party? Rooftop. Good Co.? BBQ, outdoors, ground floor. So yeah. The rain drove us inside for LCD Soundsystem and the Anthology Film Archives 40th anniversary, but where else would you really want to see a sad James Murphy or Lou Reed's craggy face?

Or John Lydon's, for that matter. He did two shows in a row in New York this week with Public Image Ltd., the first of which yielded all sorts of revelations, and the second of which, well, was just funny. Stephin Merritt's face was glum as usual at our Obie Awards on Monday night. And as for Andy Samberg at Pearl Jam, well, we could only get a picture from behind. Sorry/you're welcome?
