• It would be easier to select a band with a GOOD name. They're all pretty stupid; you have to factor in irony/literary/anti-literary/dumbass when looking at band names. It's too difficult. Just pick the leader & go with "Joe Smith Band".

• Hey, I went to high school with one of the members of We Are Country Mice. The name's raison d'etre: they're all from the Midwest. On my hs classmate's behalf, I am pissed. Ditto to comments on Freelance Whales. That's, like, a name so crappy it wouldn't even make http://www.twitter.com/Fake_Band_Names.

• Another accolade for My Teenage Stride. One of the best bands in the city who have never had the proper hype machine treatment that 1000 less deserving bands have. Also, people who are in pretentious math rock bands should probably avoid calling other people pretentious.

• I love this award. I agree with jedwardkeyes on that My Teenage Stride are underrated, I love that band. Also, whomever said Freelance Whales. REAL TALK.
