Here Is Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" Video, Finally
At the onset, the sexy/military theme here feels like it'll be content to recall Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" video and call it a day, but we (of course) get into some weirder, more ostensibly provocative stuff here, particularly the Latex Nun getup (sure to be a hit come Halloween) and the whole stuffing-a-rosary-in-your-mouth thing (sure to be a hit come the Republican National Convention). In the 2010 Mega-Video Sweepstakes (nine minutes!), this is way less engrossing than Gaga's own "Telephone" but way less knuckleheaded than M.I.A.'s "Born Free." Even if in the end it's just "Rhythm Nation" + "Like a Prayer" + not Gaga's best song by a long shot.
