Woe Betide Those Attempting To Buy Tickets For Arcade Fire's Madison Square Garden Show Today
So the Arcade Fire's got a new record (The Suburbs) and an NYC tour date (August 4 at MSG, with Spoon opening) on the horizon, but contrary to Merge Records' announcement yesterday, pre-sale tix for the latter don't seem to be available yet. Prefix mag notes much mashing of teeth from local folks who bombarded Arcade Fire's website (which doesn't have the MSG gig listed yet) at 10 a.m. sharp this morning -- gnashing-teeth example here. Brooklyn Vegan suggests tix might actually not be on sale until next week, presenting the very real possible that BV is now a more accurate source than a band's own label. We've got a call in to Arcade Fire's PR engine and will let you know, but ain't nobody around here buying shit at the moment.
