​From Toronto, land of Drake and Snow, comes the sinfully perverse dinky goth-pop of Diamond Rings, both catchy and melodramatically despairing in the time-honored Cure style; one-man-band John O dropped by Monster Island last night for a brief set captured in full by the indomitable NYC Taper. Not sure if the sweet vintage Nintendo Power Glove figured in the set, but a dude can dream.
