Our pals at Jagjaguwar pass along the lineup for their CMJ showcase next month, featuring recent YIMBY darling Lia Ices, local muted pop savants Small Black, tightlipped Montreal whisper-disco purveyors Suuns, Bon Iver drummer S. Carey, and the glittering Philly duo Sun Airway. Thursday, October 21, at Pianos, right at the heart of the Ludlow Street CMJ nexus of death and exhaustion. Consider this one your respite. (Those of you who can't wait, Small Black is also opening for No Age Saturday--tickets are still available, as they are for S. Carey's gig with The Tallest Man on Earth at Webster Hall on the 27th.)
