The second round of artists announcements is out, and it's the big one--count on newly installed acts Phoenix, GZA, Screaming Females, Extra Lens, Francis and the Lights, et al, to be your headliners, joining the already teased Surfer Blood, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Ghostface Killah, the Blow, Salem, etc.

It seems that Freddie Gibbs will be back (pray for a New Yorker waving encore), anchoring a pretty decent rap slate (see also: Jean Grae, all those Wu-Tang guys, Pete Rock). If only we could bring back OJ Da Juiceman, too! Who else: Neon Indian...Reggie Watts... Pharoahe Monch--the list is really too long to reproduce in its entirety, the bill now topping 700 bands, so we'll point you to CMJ's site, where they are all listed against a suitably starry background. Certain people are already asking who this year's Cold War Kids will be (or is this year's Surfer Blood?); place your wagers now.
