Ian Hamrick was only 12-years-old when he was shot in the head during M.I.A.'s extra-NSFW, banned from YouTube video for "Born Free," but something about the music from Maya Arulpragasam's N.E.E.T. Recordings is working for him.
He appears again today in the unofficial, but excellent video for "Riot Rhythm" from Sleigh Bells' Treats, directed by Bo Mirosseni. This time, the kid gets quite a workout, rocking his red mane to the song while training for and ultimately winning a magical game of chess. Spoiler: he lives! [h/t]
