Rejoice! Brian Eno Is Releasing A New Album This Summer

brian eno.jpg
Brian Eno will release Drums Between the Bells on July 5. The legendary British producer is employing poet Rick Holland, with whom he has collaborated intermittently since 2003, to provide the album's lyrics, which will be performed by a variety of vocalists that includes both Holland and Eno. Eno's label, Warp, is putting out the record as a hardcover book with two CDs, and as a double LP as well.

"Glitch," the first taste of the album, sounds like a computer fighting itself, with a skittering synth and drums that loop in and out of the background, with brooding vocals presiding over the proceedings. If the rest of the record is like this, expect lots of amateur poetry analysis from Eno fans all over the internet.
