Nicki Minaj Will Reportedly Give Britney Spears' Tour A Bit Of Fire
In what a lot of think pieces will probably herald as the passing of some sort of "leading lady of pop" torch, Nicki Minaj has reportedly signed on to open for Britney Spears' tour this summer. (The tour hits Nassau Coliseum Aug. 2, and the Izod Center Aug. 5.) Minaj's lap-dancing, sex-toy-assisted antics should prove to be a pretty formidable match for Spears, who's taken quite a bit of heat during the promo for Femme Fatale for seeming kinda lackluster during interviews and performances. Here's hoping that the wig-happy Queens girl will provide a nice bit of a jolt for the increasingly absent Spears, and that perhaps one day she'll seem like she's enjoying the whole idea of "performing" again.
