Nick Zinner To Lead 41 Strings, A Slightly Late Earth Day Event, Next Week
Fresh off providing his guitar to the Santigold-featuring-Karen O track "Go", Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner will on Wednesday (May 11) lead 41 Strings, an event to celebrate the 41st anniversary of Earth Day (and yes, the organizers probably know that Earth Day was last month). Also leading the performance will be Soft Circle's Hishamakira Bharoocha and Ben Vida. The event will have musical contributions from 41 string instruments--as well as fancy light work done by Yoshi Sodeoka, E*Rock, Dawn of Man, and Ernesto Klar--and will be held at the Hudson Hotel. Last year, the 40th anniversary was celebrated with a similar event starring drummers and called--wait for it--40 Drummers. Here's a clip.
