Watch Videos From Last Night's Our Band Could Be Your Concert

Above, the ever-fierce Merrill Garbus (dba tUnE-yArDs) takes on Sonic Youth's "The Burning Spear" at last night's Our Band Could Be Your Concert, the multi-act musical tribute to the bridge between the DIY pioneers chronicled in Michael Azerrad's Our Band Could Be Your Life and indie acts of today. A few other clips from the evening--including a couple of Nirvana covers, in a nod to Azerrad's bio of the band--after the jump.

St. Vincent: "Bad Penny"/"Kerosene" (Big Black) (also: whoa)

Titus Andronicus: "Treatment Bound" (The Replacements)

Ted Leo: "Filler" (Minor Threat)

Dirty Projectors (Black Flag)

tUnE-yArDs with Wye Oak and Dirty Projectors - "Lithium" (Nirvana)

Dan Deacon with Wye Oak and Dirty Projectors - "Negative Creep" (Nirvana)

NPR was apparently there with its recording equipment, so those interested parties shut out of the Bowery Ballroom last night will be able to listen in on the proceedings in non-YouTube form. Which is good because I haven't found the Mudhoney set yet, and I am very very curious. UPDATE: Here you go.
