Beyoncé Is Very Satisfied In The Video For "1+1"

Categories: Beyoncé

The video for Beyoncé's "1+1," the pleading song that opens 4, has a bit of a "What D'Angelo's 'Untitled (How Does It Feel)' Feels Like For A Girl" vibe to it; lots of closeups of B from the neck up, gazing into the camera, and a few mirror-lens bits that vaguely recall the clip for the very slept-on I Am... Sasha Fierce track "Sweet Dreams." According to the people writing copy for her site: "The '1+1' video is the story of love at its best. It's about commitment and fulfillment and it's Beyoncé at her most beautiful. The video experiments with psychedelic visual effects and innovative lighting that gives the clip a cinematic feel." Read between those lines, if you will. (Or, rather, just the word "fulfillment.") Clip below.

There're also a lot of shots of Beyoncé getting drenched. Hey, just like New York this weekend, wocka wocka!

I'm curious as to who played the guitar solo. It was probably just some hired studio player but in a world where Nuno Bettencourt winds up at Rihanna gigs, you just gotta wonder.

More camel toe from this no-talent Stankyonce.

P.S. This song is more than a'ight, but (like you, I assume) I am mystified that her team thinks this is a better commercial bet than "Countdown."

Someone suggested that "Countdown" might be held until the end of the year as a single for the obvious reasons...
