• I love Beyonce for more reasons than I can count. I have grown up listening to her. My love from her actually sprouted from my family members. I remember years ago sitting in my living room with my older cousins and aunts, watching B perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. At the time I copied everything my cousins did because I wanted to be just like them; so naturally I instantly loved Beyonce. However, I have grown to admire her for my own reasons.  The first time I saw her on TV on Thanksgiving I remember thinking how gorgeous she was, but now, after being her fan for years, I have learned how much more she offers than just beauty. Ever since that day, I made it a tradition to ask my brother for a Beyonce video or cd during every Christmas and birthday. Last Christmas he gave me the Beyonce I Am World Tour video; I watched it twice that day and the following day I gathered my entire extended family into our small family room to watch it. To no surprise, everyone was blown away as I knew they would be. My mom had jokingly said she wished we could invite her to our next family reunion because she seemed so genuine and we thought we all would get along great with her. (But then again who wouldn’t!) It is more than Beyonce’s star qualities that make her my role model, although those qualities are greatly admired. In every interview, video, or performance I’ve seen, Beyonce conducts herself with such grace and you can tell everything she says comes from her heart. Even with all the success, which is greatly deserved, she still remains humble and down to earth. Adding to these qualities, Beyonce never fails to impress me with her dedication and commitment to every performance she gives. She knows that success is not something just handed to you, and she has earned all the success she’s had. I could honestly go on and on about the positive messages Beyonce has portrayed. I look up to her so much. And, on a less serious note, I can’t forget to mention how AMAZING her music is too! I am obsessed with her new album 4. I already asked my brother for the DVD for Christmas. It would be a dream come true to see her! It would mean the world to me. I think I’d be the happiest person alive!
