Out of 129 Essays of ' the Best Music Writing' - a grand total of ONE examines a Latin musician (Kudos to Miami New Times)  ...unless you want to count a look at a country artist going to Mexico to drink. So, LESS THAN 1% of the best music writing actually looks at the art and culture of over 50 MIllion people in The U.S.   But then again, the multiple in-depth analysis pieces on Justin Beiber are far more informative and culturally enriching
