Electric Daisy To Sprout At MetLife Stadium In May; Avicii, Danny Tenaglia On The Bill

The inaugural New York edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival—the multi-day EDM festival that has packed in revelers around the country since 2008, which announced its first trip to the area last week—now has a venue and a lineup. Billboard reports that the two-day New York stop, scheduled for May 19 and 20, will take place at MetLife Stadium (a.k.a. the new home of the Giants and Jets, a.k.a. the football stadium in New Jersey); the lineup will include stars of 2012's stadium-house movement like Avicii and Calvin Harris. Legendary New York DJ Danny Tenaglia is also on the bill. The current lineup and information on purchasing tickets below.

Tickets are on sale now and cost $85 for a single-day and $129 for a two-day pass; VIP packages start at $155 for one day, $300 for the duration of the festival. (Yes, before you ask, some of those VIP packages do include bottle service.) There are also tables for sale, with prices ranging from $2500-$3000 for 10 people.

Maura, do you know how this sold out so quickly? Just seems kind of sketchy that this sold out in mere hours but then go on StubHub or any ticket site and there are plenty available, just at triple the price.  Heard about anything?


Very poor choice on the Afrojack song, at least you didn't use Take Over Control but I was expecting something a little more educational like Polkadots. Good article otherwise.

 its because the tickets sold out from the main party at the original prices almost instantaneously.  Past that, any tickets you see now are third party dealers trying to make money off the tickets they purchased.
