Which Album Will Pitchfork's Readers Crown As The Best Since 1996?

"DON'T MAKE ME FIT INTO YOUR CRITICAL PANTHEON!!"
In an effort to stanch the flow of stale complaining about its "elitism" invite its readership into the magical world of music-publication listmaking, the online-tastemaker behemoth Pitchfork is putting together The Pitchfork List, which purports to count down its readers' favorite albums released between the year of its founding, 1996, and 2011. (Voting is here, and readers can put in their two cents until August 17; you can state your case for anywhere between 20 and 100 albums.) What records will finish at the top? A few ideas, culled from the site's lists of former albums of the year and perfect 10s and other Big Records of the recent past, below, with betting odds should you decide to take a trip to Vegas before the list's big reveal at the end of this month.

WHICH RECORD WILL WIN? THE ODDS
Radiohead, Kid A: 2-1
Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy: 8-5
Wilco, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot: 9-5
Arcade Fire, Funeral: 3-1
Sufjan Stevens, Illinois: 5-1
Animal Collective, Merriweather Post Pavilion: 6-1
Radiohead, In Rainbows: 6-1
OutKast, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below: 9-1
Panda Bear, Person Pitch: 12-1
LCD Soundsystem, Sound Of Silver: 17-1
Dirty Projectors, Bitte Orca: 18-1
Interpol, Turn On The Bright Lights: 20-1
Air, Moon Safari: 22-1 (because it's the first album you see when you head to the "vote now" page)
Dismemberment Plan, Emergency & I: 25-1
The Knife, Silent Shout: 40-1
12 Rods,Gay?: 100,000-1 (a former 10 that's since been disavowed by the site; odds are only as low as they are because of the possibility of some script kiddie thinking that voting for this a lot would be "funny")
Siobhan Donaghy, Ghosts: 650,000-1 (although it deserves to be at least top 10)

SIDE BETS:
Odds of one Radiohead album making the top 10: Even
Odds of two Radiohead albums making the top 10: 2-1
Odds of three Radiohead albums making the top 10: 4-1
Odds of the entire top 10 being made up of Radiohead albums: Zero, but only because they only released six albums during the qualifying period
Odds that the top 20 will be at least 75% "rock" albums: 7-5
Odds that people on the Internet will argue about the list as soon as it's put up: Ha. Ha. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Some albums are conspicuously missing from their selection of albums. Two that I had to write in myself, Hello Nasty by the Beastie Boys and Cee-lo Green and his Perfect Imperfections.
