Friday, 1/31:

Funk Flex + Cipha Sounds + DJ Riz + Big Kap
B.B. King Blues Club & Grill
11:59 p.m., $25-$30
The Tunnel was many things to many people: for house heads, a place to dance to DJs like Junior Vasquez and Danny Tenaglia; for young scenesters like Michael Alig and RuPaul, a place to see and be seen; for Rudy Giuliani, a nuisance in the way of Chelsea gentrification; and for New York City hip-hop fans, a place to get wild to the latest Jay-Z and B.I.G. records, as played by DJs like Cipha Sounds, Big Kap, and Funkmaster Flex. Tonight, that last group of clubgoers gets their day, as Flex and crew -- joined by Canarsie's DJ Riz, one of the quickest mixers in the city -- come to B.B. King's for a late-night reunion. -- By Nick Murray

Maria Minerva + Lia Mice
The Mercury Lounge
7:30 p.m., $10
"We're witnessing the end of Williamsburg right here, right now," Maria Minerva told 285 Kent last month, at what was rumored to be the Brooklyn art space's last show ever. So it's oddly fitting that the 25-year-old Estonian electronic songwriter will play her very next show in Manhattan. Minerva, who lived in London before making New York her home last year, released her "Bless EP" in 2013 after several records with LA experimental label Not Not Fun and its dance-focused imprint 100% Silk; this month, she has a collaborative EP with Estonian producer Ajukaja out on Porridge Bullet/Pudru Kuul. On Friday, Minerva is joined by Lyons, France-based avant-pop songwriter Lia Mice. -- By Liz Pelly

Mark McGuire + Forma
Baby's All Right
8:00 p.m., $8-$10
Ride the kosmische tractor beam into the depths of your soul tonight with Cleveland solo guitarist Mark McGuire and Brooklyn electronic trio Forma. McGuire, a former member of electronica trio Emeralds, has embarked upon a journey of self-actualization culminating with his new Along the Way, a four-vinyl-sided, programmatic, personal reflection on "the quest of the individual seeking the answers to the great mysteries of life." Does he succeed in delivering the Kantian epiphanies suggested in his liner notes? Check out his architectonic tapestry of droning, looping, layered sounds and decide for yourself, pilgrim. Forma's Sophie Lam, George Bennett, and Mark Dwinell used vintage Moog, Roland, and Oberheim products for the pulsing Krautrock update heard on their 2012 release On/Off. -- By Richard Gehr
