Black Kids and Cut Copy at Studio B Tonight

Posted at 8:30 AM, May 13, 2008

Who let this picture happen? Seriously?

Sure they listen to the Smiths too much, but the newly major-label-signed Black Kids are a reminder of the time a couple of seven-inches with great songwriting could make you immortal. Plus, the moments of '50s hot flash are pure thrill—if they remade Grease for post-emo kids, Black Kids would play the prom. With Cut Copy, whose new In Ghost Colours is slightly more romantic than their debut, and slightly less naive. Also: Mobius. — JON CARAMANICA

i love it when kids, who shower every day, make it look like they never shower and just woke up.
