Is It Too Early To Do A Swine Flu Song Post?

Probably. But since swine flu officially murdered Cinco De Mayo, the soddenly drunken, potentially bandito-inspired holiday we all now can't celebrate, we have nothing better to do. Plus, the Streets just released a whole zombie flick/song about this deadly plague--see above. So why not? Mike Skinner's newest track is called "He's Behind You, He's Got Swine Flu," which is pretty much self-explanatory, although he almost certainly plagiarized that line from Cam'ron, whose "Let's Talk About It" remains pretty much the gold standard for swine flu references in 2009:

In which Cam'ron rhymes "Stay alert, before I creep up behind you--Won't see me coming like the swine flu, times two." For some reason, he did not bring Jadakiss out to do this song at the Highline Ballroom last night. Anyway, next up? Bun B's remix of "Kinda Like a Big Deal":

Quote: "Catch you makin' bacon, and lay you down like the swine flu/Damn, somebody pass me a facemask, 'cause I ain't tryin' to catch a late pass from your fake ass." We gather that's not the way the pandemic actually works, but whatever. Rap in the internet age will probably forever be the rapid response troops as far as current events go, but the god precedent here goes to none other than Jello Biafra, who wrote a song about swine flu all the way back in 1991. He called it "Swine Flu" and everything:

"Why don't you take me home and you have your very own swine flu?" asks Jello. Now can we go outside again yet or what?
