​We're closing up shop early today, and getting a head start on the New Year by doing snow angels outside for a while. Hey Willpower at Death by Audio

​Hey Willpower graced Death By Audio with their decolletage, dance routines and a rabbit head. Below, Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig stops by and demonstrates his indie cred.

Dan Deacon and These Are Powers at Brooklyn Vs Baltimore Blowout

​Promoter Todd P hosted a massive Brooklyn vs. Baltimore warehouse show, headlined by Dan Deacon (BL) and These Are Powers (NY).

Spank Rock and Japanther at Bodega

​2009 saw the shuttering of some briefly infamous DIY venues, none of which were ever legal in the first place. One of them was Bushwick's Bodega, where Spank Rock stopped by for a secret show with Ninjasonik and Japanther.

The Shank

​Another ill-fated spot was the afterhours spot the Shank, located on McCarren park. The venue played host to a number of illegal ragers, such as this one with Valient Thorr and Acid Tiger and, below, this Bikes in the Kitchen party, with Juiceboxxx, Cerebral Ballzy, and Wild Yaks.
