Great GoogaMooga Announces Initial Food Lineup: Prepare To Salivate
This morning the organizers of Great GoogaMoogathe "amusement park of food and drink" set to take place in Prospect Park on May 19 and 20announced the first chunk of the food lineup for the festival, and not to kill a cliché or anything, but it looks like the park's greenery will be transformed into a garden of culinary delights for the weekend. The weekendto which admission is free, but ticketedwill host some 75 food vendors (organized into pavilions like Hamageddon and the UrBARN), 35 brewers, 30 wineries, and 20 musical performances by still-to-be-named acts. (Perhaps Coolio, whose YouTube channel will be represented, will break into song at one point?)
Those who feel like their festival experience isn't real unless they pony up some cash for it can buy tickets to the VIP iteration, "ExtraMooga," which will be held in a wooded section of the park and have its own slew of entertainments, including a DJ set by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and a "performance" by culinary enfant terrible and sorely missed presence on Top Chef Anthony Bourdain. The current lineup of participating restaurants, many of which are Voice-critic-approved, below.
