Watch The Son of Ex-Runaways Guitarist Lita Ford Beat the Piss Out of Some Poor Unsuspecting Little Boy

litafordandherfamily.jpg
Lita Ford and her family. The champion fighter is the one with the highest hair.

So this was going to be a post about The Runaways movie, and how we're seeing it on opening day and you can't stop us, but then we got to wondering what former real-life guitarist Lita Ford was up to, and here you have it: she's been busy breeding a mohawked mini-fighter.

Did Rolling Stones Guitarist Ronnie Wood Just Get Arrested For Assaulting His Girlfriend?

Ron_wood.jpg
Yes, according to BBC News. The victim in question seems to have been Ekaterina Ivanova, who is all of...20 years old? And a cocktail waitress, apparently. Ronnie Wood is 62, and newly divorced (his 24-year-old marriage ended last month in court, after "admitted infidelity" on the elderly rocker's part). A Surrey police spokesman said: "We can confirm that a 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with a domestic incident." The Herald Sun adds that it happened "in the street." After being arrested at 11:30pm last night, he's already out on bail, "until a date in January pending further inquiries." Developing, obviously...

Horror Stories From a Disastrous Justin Bieber Non-Appearance at a Long Island Mall

mallmayhem.png
A scheduled Friday appearance at Long Island's Roosevelt Field Mall by young Island Def Jam signee and Usher protege Justin Bieber turned bloody when hordes of young women and their mothers swarmed the mall, creating a scene of such horrific violence that police eventually forbid Bieber from even setting foot inside. Cops were so irate they actually arrested Island Def Jam Senior Vice President James Roppo for the legally baffling crime of failing to announce on his Twitter account that the signing had been cancelled; he pleaded not guilty and is now out on bail. So just how bad was the carnage out there?

Police Kill Former Jay-Z/Diddy Bodyguard; Thugs React

public_enemy.gif
Chaos inside Brooklyn's Norwood Palace late Saturday night led to the fatal wounding of a club bouncer who'd previously worked as a bodyguard for Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, and P. Diddy. He either was or was not pointing a gun at the officers when they fired on him. Not the best weekend for trigger-happy area cops--a 43-year-old Long Island man was killed on Saturday when LI police shot him twice with a Taser. Neither incident has kept clowns over at the Post's website for cheering on the officers involved in the Brooklyn slaying. "Thanks NYPD, your the best.Lock and load," wrote one commenter. The rest are too brutal and disgraceful to give any more life to. [NYP]

Jemina Pearl Really Did Beat That Dude Up

jeminaheader.jpg
Let the Jemina Pearl glamour shot era commence.
We still treasure the not-so-recent memory of Jemina Pearl's right cross, as administered to a six-foot-something, 200-pound drunk comedian whose subsequent attempt to remain on his feet was satisfyingly brief. That incident proved, if nothing else, that those looking for a fight with Pearl will get one. And they will probably lose. Last week, someone in Detroit tried again, flicking lit cigarettes at the diminutive frontwoman. Which was a huge mistake. Wrote Pearl on her blog:

Tony Yayo's Assault on a 14-Year-Old Kid May Have Gotten Someone Killed

tonyyayo.jpg
So great that this is the photograph they used--Happy Birthday, Tony Yayo!
Tony Yayo aficionados may remember the charges the artist briefly faced in the spring of 2007 for assault--on a 14-year-old child. The kid, James Rosemond, had the bad luck of being the son of Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, the head of Czar Entertainment, which at the time repped G-Unit rival the Game. Yayo, ever loyal soldier, happened to spot him, and at the behest of the man for whom he carries weed, 50 Cent, proceeded to slap the younger Rosemond. Allegedly, anyway. Here's how the Post delighted in telling the tale at the time:

Try to Rob Japanther at Your Own Peril

They might hang out with famous pacifist/anarchists like Penny Rimbaud and pal around with weed-smuggling dragons, but do not try to rob one of these two guys unless you're prepared for a fight. (One might question the wisdom of heading to East New York in the middle of the night looking like you just got out of class at Pratt, but I suppose if you're tough enough no one's getting your wallet off you, no matter what. Pity about the Metrocard though.) [@Japanther]

Major Mackerel Will Think Twice About Serenading the Neighbors Next Time

majormackeral.jpg
Some former reggae stars are too charming for their own good. Major Mackerel's moment may have gone the way of Sluggy's, but he's still out in East Flatbush, singing the wrong songs in the direction of the wrong women, reports the New York Post:

Gang Gang Dance Assaulted at Belgium's Pukkelpop Festival

After premiering a bunch of mind-bogglingly shiny new jams at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium, Gang Gang Dance apparently had a violent run-in with the bouncers in that country. On Saturday night, drummer Jesse Lee attempted to go backstage at his own concert and was instead dragged to a dark area off the security camera grid, handcuffed, and beaten by three security guards, according to the band's publicist. Terrifyingly, they seemed to be trying to break Lee's arms, and at one point collectively shouted, "We are going to show you what real pain is!" Let those motherfuckers come to New York, and we'd be happy to return to favor. Full publicist statement, via Pitchfork, below:

Mess Up the Sound at a Crystal Castles Show at Your Own Risk, Apparently

Canadian 8-bit rave duo Crystal Castles are infamous for playing shows in which the violence and drama quotient far exceeds anything you'd expect from a couple of people who make what's basically dance music--Alice Glass, in particular, the band's leather-jacketed, heavily eye-linered demon frontwoman, seems like a person you wouldn't want to fuck with while she was in the grips of a performance. But this is apparently exactly what happened at Sonar Fest in Barcelona on Saturday night, when sound difficulties--and maybe a bit of security interference, it's hard to tell from the video--led Glass to begin to violently dismantle the band's drum kit, before being forcibly carried offstage by a security guard in the ensuing scrum.
