Revenge of the Puppetmasters
Here it's almost time for another GOP convention, and a protester from the previous one, in Philly, is still facing criminal charges because he got tangled up with John Timoney, the ex-NYPD official who ran interference for the GOP in Philly in 2000 and again for Miami last year during the FTAA protests. Tonight at Bluestockings bookstore (172 Allen Street, between Rivington and Stanton), check out the Keep the Timoney Three Free Puppet Show. Be prepared to make a $5 to $10 donation, however. Proceeds are earmarked for Camilo Viveiros, the only person still facing first-degree felony charges stemming from the Philly convention.
