U.S. Ends Afghan Hostage Crisis

Civilians no longer in danger from Taliban.

Eight Afghan civilians could breathe easier now — if they were still breathing.

Eight Afghan civilians held hostage by Taliban militants were killed in an air strike by US-led troops during a battle that also left 25 rebel fighters dead, the force said Monday.

In Olympic Games terms, we won this match with the Taliban 25-8.
