Bush Declares Victory!

Posted by Harkavy at 11:44 AM, March 19, 2008

White House releases beta version of Iraq 5.0.

After five long years, the United States has finally secured victory in the War on Terror, George W. Bush declared today.

I'm as surprised as you are. This is what the president said this morning at the Pentagon:

"The surge has done more than turn the situation in Iraq around — it has opened the door to a major strategic victory in the broader war on terror."

The announcement comes 5.0 years after the U.S. invasion of Iraq and 4.9 years after Bush declared, "Mission accomplished!"

In this morning's speech, Bush also said:

"In Iraq, we are witnessing the first large-scale Arab uprising against Osama Bin Laden. And the significance of this development cannot be overstated."

The BBC's report on the speech notes:

Meanwhile in Iraq, a female suicide bomber killed six people at a bus station in Balad Ruz in Diyala province, according to Iraqi police.

And near the northern city of Kirkuk, US troops shot dead three Iraqi policemen by mistake, an incident officials described as "a tragic accident, which was sincerely regretted".

Don't let that spoil your celebration.

George Bush is the biggest LIAR in the history of America! He is the largest, and most dangerous enemy to our country. He has betrayed America and ALL U.S. citizens. Not only should he be impeached immediately, he sould also be prosecuted for crimes against America, the American people, Iraq, and the Iraqian people, found guilty as charged, then punished to the fullest extent the law allows.

HARKAVY REPLIES:
What about George Washington? Who do you think chopped down that cherry tree?

I agree that George Bush's anniversary declaration is breathtaking. But how could you leave out Dick Cheney's celebratory oratory? Once again he leaves the POTUS in the shade.

HARKAVY REPLIES:

I didn't leave him out. I was playing "J'Cooze" with Spitzer.

Even if it is his last day in office, Bush should be impeached, then handed over to the International Court for prosecution of war crimes. This criminal still wants to go to war against Iran and any other nation that has any drop of oil left in its ground. And don't forget what we will get if McCain is elected - more of the same! Disband the empire, close the bases abroad and spend what money is left at home.

HARKAVY REPLIES:
At least let Bush do the dishonorable thing and first pardon a bunch a people.

Robert speaks for me! Except he left out: Dicky Chumley, America's premier MOBSTER VP, Halliburton WHOREDOG, and all around resident dirtbag.

Shrub & Chumley should both be tarred & feathered on the White House lawn. Impeachment? How about a firing squad for both of them for the umpteen deaths and physical/psychological maimings of our soldiers, to say nothing of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians? Follow that up with deportation of the entire Shrub & Chumley clans. I hear there are some sweet real estate deals in Fallujah!

And Speaker Pelosi sits on her hands... impeachment is off the table... what a bunch of spineless cowards the Democrats have turned out to be!

HARKAVY REPLIES:
They've been spineless for a long time. Even worse: They've been actively destructive. It was Bill Clinton who enthusiastically erased Glass-Steagall, which allowed banks to go on spending sprees and form conglomerates, which helped lead us into the situation today with Citigroup and the rest of those schnooks. Don't forget the Telecommunications Act of 1996, the NAFTA stuff without protection for workers and workers' bargaining rights either here or abroad. Don't forget the Democratic leaders' abandonment of the protesters during the '04 Republican National Convention. Don't forget the pro-war votes by Hillary Clinton and practically everyone but Paul Wellstone. Even if they get into the White House, they'll be calling out the troops to roust the 21st century version of the Bonus Army.
