Two Killed--and Cory Lidle on Plane

Editor's note: This item has been revised. It originally reported four people dead; officials have lowered that to two.

The WNBC affiliate in New York, Channel 4, says the small plane that crashed into a building on East 72nd Street was owned by Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle, and that two people have been confirmed dead. From Channel 4:

"A law enforcement official in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity, said New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle was on the plane. And Federal Aviation Administration records showed the plane was registered to the athlete."
