Caroline Giuliani: Obama Flip-flopper
It's been no secret that Rudy Giuliani has had a strained relationship with Andrew and Caroline Giuliani, his two children from his marriage to Donna Hanover. Earlier this year, Andrew, who hopes to be a pro-golfer, told the New York Times "I’m not going to have time to, even if I wanted to, be in the campaign.”
But things got much worse today when Slate magazine revealed that Caroline Giuliani was supporting Barack Obama.
As the story gained traction through the day, Caroline Giuliani issued a statement seeking to clarify her position.
"Before the presidential campaign got under way, Caroline added herself to a list on Facebook as an expression of interest in certain principles," Joannie Danielides, a family spokewoman told the Associated Press. "It was not intended as an indication of support in a presidential campaign, and she has removed it."
The world will be left to wonder what "principles" Caroline was expressing an interest in, by affiliating herself with the "Barack Obama (One Million Strong for Barack)" group on Facebook, if it was something other than an expression of support for the Democrat's presidential campaign.
Caroline Giuliani, a 17-year-old heading to Harvard this fall, removed the affiliation from her Facebook profile after being contacted by Slate. Her father refused to comment when reached on the campaign trail in Iowa. The Obama campaign also refused to comment
