Criminal Probe of Deutsche Bank Building Fire Launched

A press release from the Manhattan DA:

Manhattan District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau announced today that his office has opened an investigation into the fire at the Deutsche Bank building at 130 Liberty Street which resulted in the deaths of two New York City firefighters. Assistant district attorneys from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Rackets Bureau have been in contact with fire marshals from the New York City Fire Department. This office will work with the Fire Department, as well as other interested agencies to determine whether any criminal violations occurred in connection with the fire on August 18, 2007.
